How does this all work? What all do Sort It Out's services entail?

We start by coming to your home or place of business to find out what areas you would like to organize. During this one-hour initial consultation, we will sit down together and make a plan for how to get your stuff better organized, as well as go over some general tips and ideas to start you off. If possible, we like to give you “homework,” such as going through a stack of papers, old magazines, boxes, etc. We will come back in about a week and see your progress and teach you how to organize things that you have to keep and that are important. We want to teach our clients how to organize their lives instead of doing it all for them. This way, long after we are gone, you will continue to have a wonderfully organized space.

How often will Sort It Out come to my home/business?

We like to come out weekly. Since our goal is to teach you how to organize your space, we feel that coming out more frequently will not give you time to make much progress, and coming out less frequently will make progress very slow-going.

How long will I need Sort It Out’s services?

This depends on how big the job is. Typically, one average-size room will only require us to come out three or four times. Much larger or highly-detailed projects will take longer and will be discussed at the initial consultation.

What's the difference between Sort It Out and a cleaning service?

The difference between Sort It Out and a cleaning service is that we don’t come in, take care of everything and leave you to try and find where we put all of your belongings. We believe it is more important to teach our clients how to be organized so that they will be able to continue doing so after we have left.
